I miss this so much!! I worked the popcorn cart in Canada for 6 months and heard this everynight. I knew every word... remember all the warnings ahead of time... I can't remember them for sure... something about... in just 10 minutes... something about illumations... take some children by the hand... ugh I wish I could remember... anyone know what I'm talking about??? it will drive me nuts till i can remember it again... That is sooo good to hear again! My sister is now working for the mouse @ Epcot, and it makes me jealous of her when I heard that music again! I'll never forget racing to shut down the popcorn park before the end of Illuminations! Oh memories...
I remember be the control stocker and trying to race to close down the popcorn cart as fast as possible. One time I was walking back to the back of the port and one of the servers grabbed my walkie talkie and told the popcorn cart to stay open and then put my walkie talkie up high (I'm short if ya didn't know) so I had to put down what I was dragging back and jump for my wt so the didn't re-open. Another time Ed the manager thought it would be funny to take my wt and tell them to re-open because some vip's were coming and wanted some popcorn. Evil evil people!!!
Ha! I was too busy rushing to get out of the place when that voice came over for IllumiNations - I never paid attention to the words! It was a race against time to get out, get the bus/taxi and get back to the Commons! Especially if it was a Monday - UK Lads was waiting!
Hmm...it was different when I was there! But then again, I was there for the 25th anniversary of WDW, so it was a different (and better, IMO) Illuminations! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS Because GE bring good things to life, in Just 15 minutes, The EPCOT family and GE will present ILLUMINATIONS: REFLECTIONS OF EARTH. There are still great viewing locations all around the world showcase lagoon. Due to lower light levels during the show, please take small children by the hand and remain on the promenade side of the railings. Find your spot, because Illuminations, Reflections of Earth will begin in just 15 minutes (any fans of the Comedy Warehouse, Mary, one of the performers, is also the voice of illuminations!)
Wow Mary got around!!! She was the one with the curly hair- very funny at the comedy warehouse. For anyone who also saw Who Wants To Be A Millionnaire Play It, before the cruise was the prize, there was a little clip of Regis the US presenter and his stage manager, Mary. Once again the Mary from the comedy warehouse! Also for anyone who is interested I have the full illuminations warm up music or cannon music as uk merchies might know it as. Drop me a msn message when I'm online (shrooden@aol.com), cos I cal let anyone transfer a copy if you want. It's a 30 minute piece and Im only on dial up so be prepared it takes a while to download!!! Brings back many a memory of Robert Mastriani being all tense on the prominade! Good times!!!
