I'm Korean applicant, and few days ago, I heard that I'll work as merchandise and quick f&b. And if I participate at this program, I'll start working on Nov . Now, I have to decide whether I'll participate at this program or not, and before I decide, I want to know about housing and roles in advance. What and where do people who work as merchandise and quick f&b usually work? The interviewer told me that I have to work very quickly, because things are going to be so fast. Actually, I'm a little bit afraid, because I haven't worked at restaurants. Does working as quick f&b feels like working at Mcdonald? And also, I heard that people who are under 21 will live in an apartment where doesn't allow to drink. Actually, I don't drink, so I don't care about this, but I just wonder whether this is true or not. And after I arrived at disneyworld, how can I choose the house where I'll live? Just randomly be choosed or can I choose the house, such as location or rooms? There are a lot of things that I want to know, and I think people who are working in there will know about this program better than company. Actually, I have to pay money in a week, if I participate at this program. So, I want to know about these questions in a short time. Anyone who knows well about housing or merchandise and quick service f&b, plz reply about these. It'll be very helpful to decide.
Hi Maree I'm currently here, so I'll try and answer as many questions as I can! I think we can work anywhere - I'm QS F&B, and I don't know where I'm working yet. Again, haven't started yet! Yes, that is true. No alcohol is allowed in these apartments or we can potentially all be sent home. We didn't get to choose as it was preassigned - I'm living in a 4 bed apartment in Chatham Sqaure, and I had no say over that. Hope that helps, good luck! You'll love it here! xx
As katie as said You can't choose your accommodation it is allocated for you though you will be living with all girls or all guys depending on whether you are a guy or girl lol. If you are under 21 then you are placed in accommodation with other under 21's where you aren't allowed to drink. Not that it stops people lol. In terms of working locations you won't find that out until you get there. People I know who worked QSF&B last summer adored it and want to to go back. Really with both of those roles you could literally be working anywhere within WDW. Everyone has to work quickly as it is the nature of working at WDW more than anything else. I don't know about QSF&B likeness to McDonalds but not all the roles are orientated around fatty fast food. There are other locations such as those that sell the funnel cakes and those on Main Street that sell cakes and stuff (and very yummy may I say). Well I hope I have helped
I'm working at the Columbia Harbour House, so I don't think I have McDonaldsy type foods - they sell clam chowder amongst other things! So excited - I have my orientation on Saturday, and had traditions today But if there's somewhere specific F&B you'd want to work, you can always request it at your interview, and you may get fortunate! xx
Thank you all. Every informations were very useful to decide and I decided to participate at this program. Hope that I can go Disney soon
